A Reflection On Last Year

The 2022/23 season was one of the most successful that the junior department has ever seen. We managed to increase child membership by 76% which enabled to increase the increase our mini-hockey teams from 2 (in 2012/22) to 4 including our first ever dedicated 4-a-side U8 team. This of course would not have been possible without the support of our dedicated volunteer coaches.

As we look forward to the 2023/24 season, we want to continue encouraging more children to experience hockey for the first time and provide a safe, fun environment for current juniors to develop their individual skills and passion for team sport.

We understand the importance of fostering inclusivity and providing opportunities for everyone to enjoy the sport they love. Let's gear up for a season filled with camaraderie, growth, and new experiences!

Support our Junior Section

We are always looking for parents and other family members to get involved with the club in order to make a difference to the environment we provide to junior members. We appreciate that each individual may have a unique skill or ability that can help to grow our club. We have a number of non-hockey roles where we are looking for volunteers.

  • Who will help co-ordinate availability of players and ensure they are at the correct tournament at the appropriate time.

  • Who will assist by taking regular photos and videos of our training sessions and games to enhance our social media profile.

  • Who will help organise non-hockey-based events to bring our hockey family closer together.

  • For those who wish to get involved on the pitch, the club will cover the cost for anyone who wishes to undertake a coaching or umpiring course.
